The Key to Relaxation ![]() Some of the Good side effects of relaxation. Daily relaxation is possibly one of the most rewarding activities that you can do for your body. Sometimes even more rewarding than exercise. Increase helpful neurochemistry such as Serotonin, which help regulate moods such as happiness. Increase circulation and body heat. Improvement in
emotional stability Affirmations An affirmation is a statement, or set of statements, that explains what you want in language that the subconscious mind can understand.Affirmations usually come from
an outside source, whether it is a therapist or a recording. Since affirmations
come from a outside source, they require very little mental energy to process,
so you can use them while in a Theta state. You can effectively reprogram your
mind by playing recorded tracks filled with specially worded
affirmations. Imagination Imagination is your most powerful faculty. Imagine what is lovely and the best for you. You are what you imagine yourself to be When you imagine the reality of the fulfilled desire and feel the thrill of accomplishment, your subconscious brings about the realization of your desire. ![]() Meditation. Meditation can be seen as taking a holiday from the external world, and a journey into oneself. We all need a break now and again, and to one that meditates, that valuable time when one is truly centered within oneself, can bring refreshment to a flagging physical body, battered emotional system and overloaded mind. Understanding Stress. In an effort to avoid dealing with stress some people turn to alcohol or drugs or seek comfort in overeating or even overwork. Such self-destructive escape mechanisms usually only make the situation worse and add to the wear and tear of the body and mind. If you are fit, and nothing else is seriously wrong in your life, you can probably manage a fair amount of frustration, delay, unfairness and misfortune in whatever form. But illness or accumulated woes can be disabling. Stresses add up, and subtract from your ability to cope with them. Setting aside some quite time just for yourself, even if it is only ten minutes early in the morning or a solitary walk at lunch time can help insulate you from the hassles of the day. In order to develop an effective stress management program, it is necessary to identify the factors that are central to a person controlling his/her stress. There are various means to achieve this and one of the the most ........ effective is music. Brainwave Overview. When the brain is presented with rhythmic stimulus, such as a drum beat for example, the rhythm is reproduced in the brain in the form of these electrical impulses. If the rhythm becomes fast and consistent enough, it can start to resemble the natural internal rhythms of the brain, called brainwaves. If you listen closely to most of the sessions, you will hear small, rapid pulses of sound. As the session progresses, the frequency rate of these pulses is changed slowly, thereby changing your brainwave patterns and guiding your mind to various useful mental states. Beta 12Hz : Wide awake, alert mental state. This is generally the mental state most people are in during the day and most of their waking lives. Alpha 8Hz : Awake but deeply relaxed and not processing any information . This is the mental state you are in early in the morning or while daydreaming. Theta 3Hz : Light sleep or extreme relaxation. Theta is also known as the suggestible state where recorded affirmations is most effective. No technology can alter your brainwaves while you are tense You must relax your body completely so your mind is free to wander where it likes. To do this , turn your attention to different parts of your body in a "scanning " fashion, such as from your head to your toes. Focus on each part for 5-10 seconds, making sure it is completely relaxed before moving on to the next part. For instance you could start by relaxing the scalp, then the forehead, the cheeks, mouth, jaw, neck and so on till you reach your feet Breath Evenly Try to keep your breathing at a steady rate. Also, inhale at the same rate as you exhale. People have the tendency to take a long time inhaling and then exhaling really fast, or visa versa. Creating a balance between the two will help you relax more quickly. Let your Jaw Drop. Go ahead and let your jaw drop a little till it is relaxed. The jaw is a great place for your body to hide tension. Don't worry nobody is looking, so just let it drop a little. Now relax your hands ......... ![]() Listen to "Absolute Relaxation " and feel how all the stress of the day leave your body and mind ..............enjoy!! |
